Overveen lies between Haarlem and the dunes. On its western side, Zuid-Kennemerland National Park begins; on its eastern side, the village merges into the city.
A station, but a change of trains
The village has a station, but there is no direct train to Schiphol: you change on the way. By taxi, you only get in once.
A longer ride than from Haarlem
The ride is twenty-three kilometres and takes twenty-seven minutes without delays: five minutes more than from Haarlem itself, because the route begins on the far side of the city.

For eight passengers, or there and back
The fixed price applies to a taxi for up to four passengers; with a minibus for up to eight it is €80. A return trip is two rides, so €120 there and back by taxi and €160 by minibus.

From Overveen to Rotterdam and Eindhoven
Rotterdam The Hague Airport costs €185 from Overveen by taxi and €250 by minibus, Eindhoven Airport €335 and €430. To Düsseldorf and Weeze the fare is the same across our whole area: €515 and €395 by taxi.

What you pay to Schiphol depends only on the vehicle: a taxi for one to four passengers, or a minibus for five to eight. The fare from Overveen falls between our lowest, €52.50, and our highest, €80. The same fare applies from Hillegom and Nieuw-Vennep. From Heemskerk and Wijk aan Zee, the ride costs €80.
