The village, not the whole municipality
Bloemendaal is a village and also the name of the municipality. Aerdenhout, Bennebroek, Overveen and Vogelenzang belong to it, and each has a page of its own. This one is about the village itself and about Bloemendaal aan Zee.
Why the ride is longer than from Haarlem
The village lies on the dune side of Haarlem, and the road to the airport starts on the other side of the city. That makes the ride 24.1 kilometres: 4.7 kilometres more than from the centre of Haarlem.
No direct train to Schiphol
The village has its own station, but there is no direct train from there to Schiphol: you change along the way. By taxi you get in at home and out again at the departure hall, with your suitcases already in the car.
Flying early
If you are flying early, the first train is not always in time for your check-in. We drive day and night, weekends included, and agree the pick-up time with you in advance.

Five villages, two fares to Schiphol
Within the municipality, a taxi to Schiphol costs €60 from Overveen, and €62.50 from Bloemendaal, Aerdenhout, Bennebroek and Vogelenzang. In each case, that is the fare for a taxi for up to four passengers.
Distance and driving time do not go hand in hand here. Of the five, the village of Bloemendaal is the furthest from the airport, at 24.1 kilometres, and Bennebroek the closest, at 19.2 kilometres. Yet the ride from Vogelenzang takes the longest without delays: 30 minutes.
Bloemendaal aan Zee and busy beach days
Bloemendaal aan Zee has the same fare as the village. We pick you up at the beach entrance or beach pavilion you give us. When you book, tell us exactly where you will get in, because a taxi cannot stop just anywhere along the beach road.
On beach days the road through the dunes is busier than usual. If you book at least 24 hours ahead, that does not change the fare. Tell us your departure time when you book as well, and we will allow for the extra traffic when setting the pick-up time.
To the station, the hospital or Haarlem
A ride within the village, to Bloemendaal station, to the Spaarne Gasthuis Zuid or to Haarlem is charged by the meter. We charge no more than this year's statutory maximum fares; you will find them on our Fares page.
If you have a hospital appointment, the driver can wait for you if you arrange this with us in advance; an hourly waiting rate applies. Whether a ride to the hospital is reimbursed is up to your health insurer.
For eight passengers, or there and back
The fixed price applies to a taxi for up to four passengers; with a minibus for up to eight it is €82.50. A return trip is two rides, so €125 there and back by taxi and €165 by minibus.
Bloemendaal €62.50, Overveen €60, Velserbroek €65
The same fare applies from Aerdenhout, Bennebroek, Bentveld, Spaarndam and Vogelenzang. One step down our price list is Overveen at €60, one step up is Velserbroek at €65. The whole list runs from €52.50 for Hoofddorp and Vijfhuizen to €80 for Heemskerk and Wijk aan Zee; from Haarlem, where we are based, it is €55.
From Bloemendaal to Rotterdam and Eindhoven
Rotterdam The Hague Airport costs €190 from Bloemendaal by taxi and €255 by minibus, Eindhoven Airport €335 and €430. To Düsseldorf and Weeze the fare is the same across our whole area: €515 and €395 by taxi.
