What time should you leave for Schiphol?
The time the taxi will be at your door, worked out for each town, plus anything else you may want to know about the journey.
The calculation
Two hours before departure at Schiphol, minus the drive
Schiphol recommends following your airline's advice. That is usually two hours before a flight within Europe and three hours before an intercontinental flight. There is little point in arriving much earlier: the check-in desks are often not open yet. This is also set out in Schiphol's own advice.
We work backwards: your departure time, minus two hours, minus the driving time from your address, rounded down to the nearest quarter of an hour. So from Haarlem, a flight at 06:00 means a pick-up at 03:30.
If your flight is intercontinental, allow an extra hour. We agree the pick-up time with you when you book.

Journey of over half an hour: Heemskerk (33 min), Zandvoort (34 min). If you are flying later in the day, the journey often coincides with the rush hour, so we allow extra time.
Train or taxi
With suitcases, changing trains is the hard part
There is a direct train to Schiphol from Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep. From Haarlem and the other towns with a station, you have to change trains, usually at Haarlem or Amsterdam Sloterdijk.
With one suitcase and a daytime flight, the train is a perfectly good choice. With more luggage, with children or for an early-morning flight, the taxi means getting in just once, at your front door.
Parking or taxi
By taxi, it makes no difference how long you are away
By taxi you pay per ride: a return trip is two rides, whether you are away for a weekend or three weeks. The cost of parking at Schiphol depends on the car park and the number of days; Schiphol will work it out for you.

Children, groups and delays
With children
A child seat or baby seat costs €12.50 per seat, per ride. When you book, let us know how many children are travelling and how old they are; bringing your own seat costs nothing extra.

With five to eight passengers, you all travel in one minibus, luggage included. If there are more of you, we send two vehicles.
About group transportIf your flight is delayed
On the return journey, we track your flight number: if you land late, the driver arrives later. After you land, the driver waits 45 minutes free of charge, upstairs at Departure Hall 2, exit F.

Will a taxi come at half past three in the morning?
Yes. We drive seven days a week, 24 hours a day. A pick-up in the middle of the night is just an ordinary ride for us.
I am flying later in the day. What time should I leave?
In that case, the journey often coincides with the rush hour and takes longer than the table shows. We work out the pick-up time back from your departure time and agree it with you when you book. If in doubt, call 023 - 4444 023.
