The meter adds up three things: a starting fare of €4.31, €3.17 per kilometre and €0.52 per minute, for a taxi with up to four passengers. Every town on our fare list has a fixed price to Schiphol, for a taxi (1 to 4 passengers) and for a minibus (5 to 8 passengers). All the prices are on the Schiphol fares page. ### Is the price fixed, or is it metered? Book at least 24 hours ahead and the fixed price from our price list applies, even if traffic makes the ride take longer. For short-notice rides — within 24 hours — the metered fare applies. On public holidays the fixed fares do not apply; we do drive then, but agree the price with you in advance. ### Do regular customers get a discount? We do not have a separate loyalty discount — the saving comes from booking in good time, and that applies to everyone, including first-time customers. Book at least 24 hours ahead and you pay the fixed fare from our price list instead of the metered fare. From Haarlem that saves more than €22 per ride, from Heemskerk more than €46. On a short-notice ride — within 24 hours — the meter runs. ### Do I pay twice for a return trip? For a return trip to and from the airport you pay per ride. So two rides cost twice as much; no surcharge is added and no discount is given. ### What does an extra address or stop cost? An extra stop in the same town costs €8.50 per ride. If the extra address is in a neighbouring town, it is €13.50 per ride. Tell us about the stop when you book, and it will be included in the price straight away. ### Can I book a taxi for a specific time? Yes. You can book a taxi for any time of day. ### Can I be picked up anywhere in the Netherlands? Yes, provided you book in advance. ### Can I be picked up at a railway station? Yes, you can. ### How do I know my booking has gone through? As soon as you have made a booking, we email you a copy of it. After that, we send you a confirmation by email. ### Can I still change the date or time of my ride? Yes, you can change the date or time free of charge up to 12 hours before the ride, as long as a vehicle is available. Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed pick-up time. If you cancel between 2 and 24 hours beforehand, we charge half the fare; within 2 hours, or if you do not turn up, the full fare. So that we can track your flight. If you land later, the driver comes later; if you land earlier, we try to have him there earlier. You do not need to tell us anything yourself, and you pay nothing extra for the delay. ### How long does the driver wait if my flight is delayed? After landing you have 45 minutes of free waiting time — enough time for baggage reclaim and customs. The delay itself costs you nothing: we track your flight and the driver adjusts his arrival time to match. ### Where is the taxi when I land at Schiphol? We pick you up upstairs at Departure Hall 2. After baggage reclaim, take the lift or the escalator up one floor, go through exit F — the revolving door — and cross the zebra crossing to the outer lane. The driver pulls up as soon as you wave to him. His phone number is in your confirmation email. ### Can we make several stops on the way? Yes, you can. Please let us know in advance, so that we can work out the right journey time and price. ### Can I bring a pet? No, we do not carry pets. ### Lost property? If you think you have left something behind in one of our taxis, please contact HTC Haarlemse Taxicentrale by phone or email. ### How many passengers can travel in a taxi? A maximum of 4 passengers. ### How many passengers can travel in a minibus? A maximum of 8 passengers. ### Do you have child seats? Yes, for children aged 0 to 12. A child seat or baby seat costs €12.50 per seat, per ride; if you bring your own seat, there is no extra charge. Tell us the number of children and their ages when you book, and the right seats will be ready. ### Do you offer wheelchair transport? No. We provide seated patient transport: transport for people who can stay seated during the ride. For wheelchair transport you will need to use another company. A folded wheelchair can come along in the boot; just mention it when you book. ### Can I pay by credit card or debit card? Yes, you can. All our vehicles carry a mobile card machine. Paying by debit card is free. For credit card payments we charge a fee: €3 for a fare up to €100, €6 up to €200, €9 up to €300, €12 up to €400 and €15 up to €500. ### Can I get a receipt when I have paid? Yes, you can. ### How much does a taxi in Haarlem cost? Within Haarlem you pay by the meter: a starting fare of €4.31, €3.17 per kilometre and €0.52 per minute, never above the legal maximum. From Haarlem to Schiphol you pay a fixed price of €55 by taxi and €75 by minibus, if you book at least 24 hours ahead. ### Is HTC available at night too? Yes. We drive twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. A flight at six in the morning means a pick-up at half past three; for us, that is a perfectly ordinary ride. ### How do I book a taxi with HTC? Online, using the booking panel on this site, or by phone on 023 - 4444 023. When you book online you see the fare straight away, and you receive a confirmation by email. ### Does HTC only drive to Schiphol? No. We also drive to the hospital, to a party or to a meeting on the other side of the country. Apart from the fixed airport fares, we charge by the meter or agree the price with you in advance. ### How can I pay for a ride with HTC? In cash, by debit card, by credit card or — for business customers — on account. Every vehicle has a mobile card machine, and paying by debit card is free. After paying, you are given a receipt. ### What services does HTC offer? Passenger transport, group transport by minibus, seated patient transport, airport transfers, business travel on account and a hotel taxi service. We also run day trips, for example to Keukenhof or Zaanse Schans. ### Can you take us on a day out and bring us back? Yes. We take you to Keukenhof, Zaanse Schans, Giethoorn or Madurodam, and we either wait or pick you up again later; we agree that with you in advance. For Keukenhof the price is fixed: €75 one way by taxi. ### Do you drive on public holidays too? Yes, we drive seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, public holidays included. On a public holiday the fixed fares do not apply; instead, we agree the price with you in advance. ### Can I arrange my taxi transport through a personal budget (pgb)? If you claim your transport costs through a personal budget (pgb), call 023 - 4444 023 or email info@htc-taxi.nl and we will explain how we can arrange it with you. ### Are HTC's drivers properly qualified? Yes. Our drivers hold the required qualifications and the company is registered with Kiwa. That is a requirement we have to meet to be allowed to operate. ### How far in advance do I need to book? For a fixed fare to the airport, at least 24 hours. Booking at shorter notice is possible too — at least four hours ahead — but then the metered fare applies. If you need to leave within a few hours, call 023 - 4444 023. ### Which vehicle is right for my luggage? The Mercedes E-Class takes 4 passengers and 2 suitcases; the Mercedes E-Class Estate takes 4 passengers and 4 suitcases. The minibus takes 8 passengers and 5 suitcases; tell us how many suitcases you have when you book. ### What is in the confirmation email? The pick-up address, the destination, the time and the fare. If there is a problem with your booking, we will let you know before the day of your ride. ### Can I still change or cancel my booking? From 30 places in the Haarlem region, stretching from Hoofddorp to Wijk aan Zee. For a taxi for up to four people, the fare ranges from €52.50 for Hoofddorp and Vijfhuizen to €80 for Heemskerk and Wijk aan Zee. ### My town is not on the list. Do you drive there too? Yes, we drive outside this area too. The Airports page lists the fares from 46 places; if yours is not there either, call 023 - 4444 023. ### Do I pay the same fare from anywhere in my town? Yes, each town has one fare to Schiphol. Only Santpoort and Velsen are split into two parts in our price list, each with its own fare: Santpoort-Noord €70, Santpoort-Zuid €67.50, Velsen-Noord €72.50 and Velsen-Zuid €67.50. If you are not sure which part your address is in, give us your street name when you book. ### Do you also work for businesses in the region? Yes, for private and business customers alike, whether for a one-off journey or for regular weekly transport.
